Every workshop can be tailored to suit your requirements. Previous clients have booked sessions lasting for 1 hour, 1 day, full day and even 12 week courses.

Most  Samba workshops have an average of 30 people but Gareth can accommodate many more provided there is a big enough room and lots of ear plugs!!!

Study Support Pack

Gareth Also provides a study support pack which includes further information relating to Brazilian music, Culture and History. Included are worksheets and scores of original compositions for the Samba Band to continue with.

 

 Brazilian Day

 

Why not incorporate all aspects of Brazilian culture into a fantastic day of workshops for either a year group or the whole school.

Gareth will come into your school with a team of professionals and provide workshops throughout the day culminating in a final performance at the end of the day to Students, friends, and family.

Pick a selection of (or all) the workshops and then decide how long you would like the workshops to be. Most workshops are ideally 45 mins long but everything can be tailored to suit you!

Environ-MeNTAL Day

With Green issues at the forefront of social awareness, education and politics; Gareth is offering an educational, fun and exciting day of workshops themed on the environment. Similar to the Brazilian day; Gareth will come in with a team of professionals and conduct a whole day of workshops culminating in a final performance for Students, friends and family.

Study support packs are available on request so that teachers can carry out further work relating to all the areas covered. Included are worksheets and lesson plans for all the activities listed.

Improvisation / Composition

This Workshop is great for places of education and also ensembles of any size.

Gareth can come in on his own or with a team to help your students / band members help to develop the ability and confidence to start improvising and composing in an ensemble setting.

This workshop is available for musicians of all ages and abilities and the focus is on working as a team. Mixed ability groups also work well as the course is set out so that all you need is your instrument and bags of enthusiasm.

Most people come away surprised at how much they have been able to learn from each other not just from the leaders.

Throughout out the course, students are exposed to new styles, scales and chord progressions. They are also taught about stimuli, reacting to each others playing and also develop their inner ear!

Like all the other workshops, this one can be combined with any other and also tailored to suit your requirements.
